The Nets built a 16-point lead in the first half thanks to an inspired Kyrie Irving, who scored 27 points and was perfect from the field with 10/10. The Bulls couldn´t find the way to manage the Nets offensive efficiency. Taurean Prince connected with Irving constantly to overcome Bulls defense and Spencer Dinwiddie checked in to get 15 points and 5 assists in the first half.
The Nets momentum was reflected in the last play before halftime when Prince, just after rebounding, sent an excellent pass to Irving, who dunked it, and also stole the ball right away to nail a 3 and top his perfect execution.
Third quarter followed the same script until Irving checked out to rest. The Nets started to struggle offensively and the Bulls defensive aggressiveness forced the franchise from Brooklyn to 8 turnovers only in the third quarter. The Bulls made the most out of their improvement and cut it to single digits right before last quarter.
Zach LaVine lifted his team up once again with 22 points, 8 assists and 2 rebounds, but just as the game was tightening, Irving came back to seal the deal. The Nets soon found him through offensive transitions and Irving took care of the rest. He finished the game with 54 points, 5 assists and 5 rebounds to consolidate the Nets into a Playoff spot.
The Nets will take on the Wizards next tomorrow at 8PM ET and the Bulls will continue their road trip as they will face off the Raptors at 3PM ET.
