After being drafted in the second round by the Dallas Mavericks in 2018, Brunson comes to a team where he is overshadowed by the hype generated by the other rookie, a certain Luka Dončić.

This increase is due to the fact that Brunson has gone from being a simple squire of another star to taking the step forward and becoming the star himself, and he has done it in a franchise such as the Knicks.
Brunson is a player who has a great ability to move the team at whatever pace he wants, but he also has no problem scoring. In fact, he averaged 28.7 points this regular season.
But without a doubt, one thing we can highlight about the point guard is that he grows in the important moments. In the playoffs is where the player brings out his best version and the Knicks know it. In this edition, he is scoring 35 points and eight assists per game. A real madness.
In addition, leaving historical marks, such as being the first player since Michael Jordan (yes, at this level) to score more than 40 points in four consecutive games, and the only one in history to do so with more than five assists.
The people of New York are in love with Brunson and he knows it, which creates a perfect climax that makes the player feel tremendously confident. The player has finally been an All-Star for the first time this season, a number that is sure to increase in the future, given the excellent level Jalen Brunson is showing for the Knicks.
So far in these playoffs, he is killing it. In the first round they beat a 76ers team that had just won the Play-In. Later, he led the Knicks with 43 points to win the first game of the series against the Pacers and last night, they just won the second game.
Now, the series will go to Indiana and we will have to keep an eye on Brunson’s physical condition, who missed several minutes of the last game due to a sore foot.
We will see how this series progresses and if Brunson is able to put the Knicks in the finals, as he is being, along with Anthony Edwards, the best player of these playoffs.
