But ever since he came back, Real Madrid’s number ’11’ was forced to return to the right wing, where he is visibly less comfortable. His inconsistent performance is constantly being questioned by the ‘merengue’ fans.
Most people believe that Rodrygo would suffer the most from the potential arrival of Mbappé. The signing of the Frenchman and the addition of Endrick would lead to an offensive overbooking in the Merengue squad, as many fans speculate on the possible sale of Rodrygo. A transfer that would be the most viable option from a financial and sporting standpoint.
It’s going to be a busy summer at Bernabéu and the irregularity of the Sao Paulo native will not help his status as an untouchable player. If he does not turn his situation around, the rumors will start to arise.
It would be strange for Rodrygo to accept a secondary role at the age of 23 and in the peak of his career so far. In addition, Real Madrid would get a pretty appealing return for him.
What will happen with Rodrygo? For now, the alarms are shut off and disconnected, but his inconsistency is not going unnoticed anymore.
