Everton Football Club have announced the signing of James Rodríguez, who comes from Real Madrid. The Colombian offensive midfielder has signed as a Toffee player for three seasons. The Whites will earn £22million (around 25 million euros) for the transfer.

Being 29 years old, his addition to Everton is full of speculation, as his performance and fitness in his last season has been low. He has only played 14 games, scored once and assisted twice. His weird situation on his return to Real Madrid and the lack of confidence shown by Zidane held him back.

Precisely, he will now meet again with the coach that made him shine, Carlo Ancelotti. It is about a personal bet by the Italian coach that, if he is able to give some confidence back to the midfielder, it could turn out to be an excellent player for the English team. The adaptation and comfort will be key facts in order for James to become a great partner with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison. Based on Ancelotti´s current system, James is a player that fits in perfectly acting as a playmaker, his ideal spot.
