After the unexpected departure of Ousmane Dembélé from Barça, their front office has started to scan the market in search of a replacement. The first option was an old desire of Xavi and the club, Bernardo Silva, but his arrival has been imposible as Manchester City did not want to let him go.

The second option to be put on the table was João Félix, but the disinterest of the Culé manager on the player and the inability to reach a favorable agreement with Atlético de Madrid cooled down the operation, although it has not been completely ruled out.
The last name to be linked with FC Barcelona was Neymar Jr, who also did not have Xavi on his side and is about to reach an agreement to join Al-Hilal.

In Barça’s first squad, there are currently five attackers: Raphinha, Lewandowski, Abde, Ferrán and Ansu Fati. There is also Lamine Yamal who, despite being part of Barça Atlétic, joined the senior roster in preseason and will continue to train under Xavi. In addition, Athletico Paranaense’s Vitor Roque will arrive in January. A total of seven players, who cover a wide range of profiles, for three positions.

Barça have a solid roster:
There is no doubt that, with an elite player like Bernardo or Neymar, the blaugrana attack would have taken a huge leap in quality, but their signing is not critical.

With the arrival of a right-back (Cancelo looks like he will be the one to join), FC Barcelona’s roster will be really competitive. There is no need to rush the signing of a decisive player, but rather bet on what the club already has and let the results come.

In Abde and Lamine Yamal, Barça have two extremely dynamic players who, even if Ansu Fati or Raphinha were to reach their highest level, could generate advatageous situations on offense. The club should not try to make a desperate signing.
If a bargain was to present itself, it could be an option to consider, but always with the consensus of both the board and Xavi Hernández.
