Chelsea are closer than ever to signing Moisés Caicedo. With this, barring any surprises, they would end their transfer window with a very rejuvenated squad and with many players who must step up to play in the Champions League again next season.
Kepa’s departure from the club seems imminent, but after the incorporation of Robert Sánchez, it doesn’t look like there will be anything new in goal. As for the wingers, they are expected to make the difference with the arrival of the Argentinian coach who must recover the best version of Sterling, after a terrible first season at Stamford Bridge. The Blues also have Mijailo Mudryk and Noni Madueke, two young and very unbalanced players who can grow a lot with Pochettino.
The Ukrainian is a player with tremendous ability, impressive pace, a powerful slalom and a powerful shot. He is very much to Pochettino’s liking and despite his poor start in London, he should be given time because he is a real talent.
The forward line is now complete with the signing of Nicolas Jackson, who has had a spectacular pre-season and will be in charge of finishing off the Londoners’ moves. The former Villarreal player has been joined by a great forgotten player. This is Armando Broja, who after a serious injury that sidelined him for the whole of last season, is still an interesting player who can contribute a lot.
The project is quite interesting and, despite Todd Boely’s questionable decisions, Chelsea have some very good looking players and a coach who is a specialist in developing young talent, so it could be a very entertaining team to watch. Will they return to the top four of the Premier?
