Tottenham Hotspur have been known for their capacity to compete against any opponent and adversity since the arrival of Antonio Conte. The Spurs are one of the most compacted teams in the entire English football first division and they have proven to have top level players in all the positions. But… Can Conte’s Tottenham really battle for the Premier League title?

From my point of view, I do not think so, but not due to a lack of arguments, but instead because there are multiple teams (Manchester city and Liverpool) that are still one step above Tottenham.
But in reality, Conte’s Tottenham have nothing to plenty any of the other 17 rosters in the league without taking into account the two giants that have gotten used to put the Premier League at more than 90 points season after season.
The Spurs count on difference maker players in all their areas and that are able to win games all by themselves at any time, specially offensively.
Their forward area, formed by one of the best partnerships of European football (if not the best) Harry Kane y Son Heung-min, along with a top quality second line with Lucas Moura or Dejan Kulusevski make them a real threat for any of their rivals. Furthermore, the addition of Richarlison from Everton add the depth to the roster that they missed last season.
On the other hand, the midfield of Tottenham, which is probably the area with the players that are not as known as the offensive ones, also counts on one of the best recuperator of the league with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, who might be one of the most underrated players in the competition.

The defensive area is well taken care of. Cristian Romero and Davinson Sánchez are one of the toughest central defenders partnership to overcome in the league and, as a result, they have managed to earn multiple clean sheets under coach Conte.
Last but not least, their goal is protected by one of the most veteran keeper in European football, Hugo Llorís. The 35 years old Frenchman keeper makes up for his ‘annual mistake’ that comes with multiple key saves that provide a lot of points to his team.
Overall, the roster of Tottenham is one of the best not just from the Premier league but also in Europe. And if you add that to the fact that they have such a winner and experienced coach, the Spurs fans have multiple reasons to dream with a season expected to be thrilling for the team from the North of London.
