The UEFA and the Conmebol have both agreed to postpone EURO and Copa América to summer 2021 in order to allow clubs to finish their seasons as soon as coronavirus quarantine measures are over. The decision has been made as this is the only way for clubs to play their unfinished matches. The Olympic Games keep going ahead for now.

Both organizations believe and hope that the teams can be back on the pitch no later than the beginning of May, leaving their estimations to the following scenario: eleven LaLiga games to be played in May and June, where those who are not currently participating on European competitions will play twice a week. On the other hand, both the Champions and the Europa League will be finished on their regular format until reaching their finals on the 27th and 24th of June, respectively.

Football institutions have considered this to be the most efficient way to conclude the current season as far as the dates they have estimated to be available for games and our regular daily lives return to normal no later than the start of May. However, dates are subject to change depending on the development of the illness.
