The Premier League is on fire. As of today, there are three teams at the top of the table who are locked in a fierce title race with only one point separating first and third place.
This past weekend a key match was played between Liverpool FC, leaders of the competition up to that point, and their pursuers, Manchester City. The match was a real spectacle: constant back and forth from one team to the other, clear chances to score, monumental slashes from both goalkeepers, etc.
However, the match ended in a draw and the points were shared. The fact that neither of the two teams took the victory was a shock to the standings that changed the dominant trend of recent months in England.

Key to this advantage has been ‘The Gunners’ recent fixtures. In the four games prior to Saturday’s, Arsenal had scored four or more goals per game and had kept three clean sheets.
That was 21 goals scored and just one conceded, a record that confirms the outstanding run they have been on in recent weeks and makes them more than deserving of top spot in the English league.

The Premier League is said to be the best league in the world. Much of this reputation is due to the fact that it is one of the most competitive leagues in Europe.
While the other big leagues have at this stage of the season an undisputed leader with a long points gap over his competitors, the English league is the only one where the title is still up for grabs, with three teams in the thick of the fight.

Finally, Serie A is the league where there is, as of today, the biggest gap between the leader, Inter Milan, and the second, their eternal rivals AC Milan. Specifically, we are talking about 16 points between the ‘nerazurris’ and the ‘rossoneris’.
