PSG will have quite a busy market after the departure of Mbappé. Under Luis Enrique, the Parisian side will continue to focus their efforts on building a roster that offers good collective play and does not only rely on the performance of a collection of world-class players. Last summer, they followed this very strategy and everything leads to believe that they will keep on doing so this year.
The Euro has boosted the value of players like Fabián Ruiz or Donnarumma, who have performed at an optimal level. On another note, players like Xavi Simons are looking for a departure and others, like Marco Asensio, will try to establish themselves in the starting lineup and become a key part of the team.
As for the rest of the squad, Dembélé and Barcola must take over the attack and increase their goalscoring otuput, and we will see how Kolo Muani and Gonçalo Ramos perform after a poor first season from both of them at the Parc des Princes.
The departure of Mbappé suggests that the entire attacking line will be among the positions to recieve the most reinforcements, as two players from Napoli are rumored to join the culb: Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia.
In midfield, Vitinha has been one of the main positive notes of last season and will continue to direct the team. João Neves is receiving stong links to the Parisian side and his arrival could lead to the creation of a Portuguese dúo in midfield.
Benfica‘s player is very precise, hard-working and possesses great qualities for distribution, traits which make him a very appealing profile for the Asturian manager.
On another note, the defensive line has been the one to receive the least potential links. The backline has been the Achilles’ heel of the Parisian side for years. However, this is a direct consquence of the superstar’s lack of effort without the ball.
This does not take away from the fact that Lucas Beraldo needs to improve his performance and that Milan Skriniar needs to bring out a better version of himself if he wants to be Marquinhos‘ partner in the center-back dúo of the French side.
We will see how Luis Enrique manages to take this millionare project to the top, as Guardiola did with Manchester City.
