Carlo Ancelotti‘s side started the game trailing in the opening seconds against a UD Las Palmas side that came out of the Bernabéu on fire. Real Madrid played an attacking and very vertical style of football that managed to destroy the canaries defence.
The man of the match was Kylian Mbappé, who scored two goals and had a hat-trick disallowed. The Frenchman showed all his potential, producing some spectacular moves throughout the match and put in his best performance since his arrival at Real Madrid.
