Jeremy Sarmiento and Moisés Caicedo will play on the same team from now on. The first one had managed to earn himself a spot in the first team of Brighton before getting injured. On the other hand, Caicedo returns from from his loan at Beerschot.

According to the journalist Óscar Portilla, the environment of Sarmiento asserts that he will be back on the field in February. This way, this will be the first time that two Ecuadorians play for the same Premier League club since 2009.

“With Enock Mwepu picking up an injury at West Brom and Yves Bissouma away at the African Cup of Nations, we have recalled Moises to give Graham an additional midfield option”, explained technical director Dan Ashworth.

This way, a golden door is now open for Caicedo, as he can start earning minutes in the league at the age of 20. His strengths as a midfielder are passing, second line attacking and physical display.

He is a total midfielder that also adds strength at the contention. All in all, his characteristics fit in perfectly with Potter’s demands, which is why they decided to sign him.

On the other hand, Sarmiento is a playmaker with an excellent right foot. Formed at Benfica, he stands out at dribbling and associative capacity. The Ecuadorian national team have already benefited from his talent and in England they expect to see him on the field as soon as possible.

Brighton now have two of the most promising players from Ecuadorian football with Jeremy Sarmiento and Moisés Caicedo. The expectations on both of them is big and in the next few months we will be able to witness their likely irruption in the Premier League. They will have the spotlights on them during the next few years.
