Real Madrid and Atlético de Madrid have both tied their games, and FC Barcelona have taken advantage of it to move top of the table by beating Rayo Vallecano at home. The bottom of the table is red hot with RCD Espanyol’s draw against Athletic Club, Getafe’s win at Montilivi, the draw between CD Leganés and Deportivo Alavés and Valencia’s point at the Estadio de la Cerámica, leaving Real Valladolid bottom, ‘El Glorioso’ second-bottom and Valencia, UD Las Palmas, Leganés and Espanyol separated by one point. Real Madrid crash at El Sadar:
Real Madrid have suffered a setback in a game that no one expected. Ancelotti’s men played a decent game on a very difficult pitch, but the red card to Jude Bellingham and the refereeing controversy took ‘The Whites’ out of a game they had dominated. On a day when Kylian Mbappé and Vini Jr finally came together to show their best form, the two merengues stars were unable to convert several chances on goal.
Osasuna took a big point from a game that was heavily conditioned by Real Madrid’s numerical inferiority. In addition, a great Sergio Herrera saved Osasuna on several occasions with decisive saves. The home side’s game was far from brilliant, as despite playing with an extra man for almost an hour, they struggled to contain their opponents.
Atlético de Madrid can’t beat RC Celta:

FC Barcelona take the lead:
Hansi Flick’s men hosted Rayo Vallecano in a very even match in which, of course, there was controversy once again. The referee pointed to a penalty that was the cause of the only goal of the game, but the visitors claimed two very similar actions in the area that were neither pointed out nor reviewed by the VAR.
On the footballing side, Barça were again a little slow in their movement and the situations they did create were thwarted by a great Augusto Batalla. Iñigo Pérez‘s men left Barcelona empty-handed after a great game.
